  • 1 box PillsburyTM refrigerated pie crusts


  • 6 cups thinly sliced, peeled apples (6 medium)
  • ¾cup sugar
  • 1tablespoon lemon juice
  • 3/4teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/8teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 2tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • ¼teaspoon salt


Preheat the oven to 425 degrees F and put 1 pie crust in ungreased 9” glass pie plate and firmly press against side and bottom.

Take a large bowl and gradually mix the filling ingredients, transfer the ingredients into crust lined-pie plate and place the second crust on it. Then tuck, the excess top crust under the bottom crust edge and press the edges together to seal. Cut the desired shapes or slits in the crust on top.

For about 40 to 45 minutes or until the apples get smooth and color turns to golden brown. Make sure you cover the edge with 2 or 3 inch wide strips of foil for the first 15 or 20 minutes of baking to prevent it from getting too brown. Place on cooling rack for about 2 hour then serve.
