  • 1 1/3 cups uncooked white rice
  • 1/8 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1 2/3 cups water
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 3 eggs, lightly beaten
  • 3 teaspoons vegetable oil, divided
  • 1/8 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 pound bacon, cut into strips
  • 2 green onions, chopped
  • 1 (10 ounce) package frozen green peas, thawed

Method of Preparation

Bring water to a boil in a saucepan then add the 1 1/3 cups uncooked white rice and stir, minimize the heat and place a lid over the saucepan to cover the content and simmer for about 20 minutes. In the meantime, beat the eggs and season well with salt and pepper in a different medium bowl.

In a small frying pan, heat 1 teaspoon oil and pour in the beaten eggs and cook for about 3 minutes for them to cook evenly until it coats the bottom of the saucepan.
