How To Use Coconut Oil For Acne

Don’t worry. Just concentrate as we look at some of these ways. Before that, let’s discuss the effects of the oil on the skin.

Coconut oil primarily nourishes and moisturises the skin. It is no wonder why a lot of people have this oil in their homes. It is effective for the removal of marks and spots in the skin. Usually, dry skinned people are likely to have this in their homes. It forms a layer on the skin that protects the skin against the harmful U-V rays of the sun whiles reducing skin water evaporation. The oil’s antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties help it kill bacteria that cause skin infections like acne and pimples.  It is also good for injury healing purposes as it disinfects injuries from bacteria and germs.

Before you think of how to use the oil, you must dare to know which oil is and which oil is not a correct coconut oil.

You must be sure to get the correct and natural coconut oil in order to get your treatment right. Though you need the natural oil, you must go for the refined ones. The unrefined oils may contain dust, filth and more germs that can worsen your acne by blocking the sebum glands. Secondly, make sure the oil is transparent in nature and has a very poignant smell. It should not be a cheap oil. Anything contrary to these is likely to be a fake.

The most effective and yet simple way to use coconut oil for acne treatment is by applying the oil directly to the acne. Get some virgin coconut oil heated and apply it to the affected area with the tip of your fingers. You may apply in smooth and circular motions. Make sure you don’t do it too rough and too hard. Importantly, your fingers must be clean.

a) Creams and lotions: You may use coconut oil for acne by mixing it with other skin care and cosmetic products. You can mix coconut oil with your usual cocoa butter or any body lotion you use. You can add drops of the oil to your cosmetic products (creams and lotions) and stir to have a uniform mixture. With this done, applying your daily lotion automatically means applying the oil to affected skin parts.

b) Face masks: You can always make a mask with coconut oil and acne that has been bothering you will surely die out. Face masks can be made by mixing 2 tablespoons of coconut oil with about 5-6 tablespoons of aloe vera gel and 2 teaspoons of honey. Apply this mask to your face for some minutes till it’s dry and rinse it off afterwards with warmly boiled water. Do this twice or thrice a week for maximum effect.

Coconut oil and acne have an inverse relationship. The more you take in coconut oil, the more the acnes are bound to die off. Because of vitamin-E in coconut oils, it ensures that the sebum glands are strong and active in its functioning which clears blockages in skin pores that contribute to acne development. Its consumption also leads to effective secretion of hormones in a balanced manner which increases the skin’s ability to heal and repair damaged skin cells.

a) Add coconut oils to your foods. This time around, make sure you do most of your frying and baking with coconut oil.

b) Mix water with coconut oils for acne treatment. If you can’t cook with coconut oil because the other members of the family can’t stand eating it, you can always put drops of coconut oil in your water before drinking. Preferably, two tablespoons of coconut oil with a glass of water will be okay. Drink water with drops of coconut oil and acne will run away from your face.

PRECAUTIONS: As I indicated earlier, make sure to get the right kind of oil – preferably, virgin coconut oil and make sure to always keep the hands clean when doing direct applications.

Basically, these are the most effective ways to make coconut oil and acne the worst enemies. There are other acne remedies like Aloe Vera and Lemon juice that you may read about as well. Enjoy your day.
